Do you have the best rescue dog?

Following the huge success of last year, the Scottish SPCA Caithness Supporter Group is inviting locals to come along to their dog show.

Does your dog have the waggiest tail? The event takes place on Sunday 19 August at our centre in Balmore, Dounreay with all proceeds helping the abused, abandoned and injured animals in Scotland.

Superintendent Sharon Comrie said, “We’re calling on animal lovers to come along to the open day, there will be lots happening, including a ‘Scrufts novelty dog show’.

“Everyone is very welcome to pop along, take part in the shows and make a real difference to the lives of animals in their local communities.

“There are classes for ‘Best Puppy’, ‘Waggiest Tail’ and ‘Most Handsome Dog’.

“We don’t receive any government or lottery funding which means we rely on the public to be able to continue our work rescuing and rehoming animals in desperate need of our help.”

Anyone interested should come along to the centre for 1.30pm on the day.

Registration is £1 per class.
