Animal loving Aviva donates to Scottish SPCA

The Scottish SPCA received an extremely kind donation of £1,277.32 from the Aviva team in Glasgow.

AvivaWe welcomed this generous donation alongside three donation boxes full of treats, food and household items for the centre.
Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre Superintendent Sharon Comrie said, “We were delighted to receive this donation and really appreciate all of the hard work everyone at the Aviva office in Glasgow has put in.

“I’d like to say thanks on behalf of all of the animals in our care too, we’re sure they will love all of the treats!

“As an animal welfare charity we receive no government or lottery funding so we rely entirely on the support of the public.

“Without these donations we would not be able to continue our vital work rescuing and rehoming abandoned and unwanted animals in Scotland.”
Hayley Wishart, who took the lead on all fundraising activities at Avia alongside Kieran Mcginley, said, “We are all animal lovers here and really appreciate the work the Scottish SPCA do to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals in Scotland so we couldn’t think of a better charity to raise funds for.

“We held collections during Scottish Animal Week and had an animal themed day to raise as much as we could for Scotland’s animals.

She added, “Love is a four-legged word!”
