Emaciated lurcher found on a hill in Banffshire

We are appealing for information after emaciated dog found in Banffshire.

We are appealing for information after a seriously underweight Lurcher was found on 6 March.

Senior inspector Lesley Crockett said, “The dog was a male, tan Lurcher type dog. We estimate him to be around two to three years old and he is not neutered.

“He was found in an emaciated condition on a hill between Keith and Buckie, Banffshire.

“He was not microchipped so we have been unable to find his owner. He is now in the care of our Aberdeenshire centre.

“Despite his condition, he is a friendly boy which suggests he has been well socialised.

“We’re keen to find out how the dog came to be in the area in such poor condition.

“If anyone recognises this dog or has any information on this incident they can contact our confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.”
