Audrey and her family rehomed a couple of older cats from our Highlands and Islands centre in February 2020.
They renamed them Basil and Sybil as they live and work in an old hotel!
They were very timid and elusive when they first arrived, as they had been feral kittens. They had also been rehomed previously without success.
They eventually became more trusting after a few weeks, and now Basil is happy to be petted on Audrey’s knee and has turned into a very affectionate little chap!
We are very sad to report that unfortunately Sybil passed away but Audrey is now considering getting another companion for Basil, should the right match come along.
We are so pleased that Basil is getting on so well, and are glad that Sybil got to enjoy a loving home before she tragically passed.
