Appeal for items for dogs and rabbits in Lanarkshire

Karla and David

We are appealing for items for rabbits and dogs in the care of our Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

They are currently running low on Chappie Complete biscuit and Alpha Sensitive biscuits as well as enrichment items and toys for rabbits.

Items can be purchased from the centre’s Amazon wishlist or via any other online retailer offering direct delivery to the centre.

Centre manager, Gillian Boyle, said, “We are in need of essential food for dogs in our care like Karla and David the lurchers.

“We’re always extremely busy at the centre and have a lot of hungry mouths to feed, with many different diets to cater to.

“We are in need of Chappie Complete biscuit and Alpha Sensitive biscuits.

“We’re also in need of toys and enrichment for the rabbits at the centre. Rabbits like Cherry- Pie and Cupcake are highly intelligent animals and need lots of toys to keep them stimulated and happy while they wait for their forever homes.

“We’d be so grateful for any donations that people can spare and we know the animals will be too.”

Items can be donated via the centre’s Amazon wishlist here: or sent from another online retailer that can deliver. Items can also be left in the donation bins outside the centre at Bothwell Road, Hamilton, ML3 0SB.
