Appeal for food for hungry kittens

hungry kittens at our Lanarkshire centre

We are appealing for food for kittens in the care of our Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

The centre is in need of Royal Canin First Age Mousse Mother and Baby Wet Cat Food, which is used to wean kittens on to solid food from milk, as well as kitten meat to feed them once weaned.

Food can be purchased from the centre’s Amazon wishlist or via any other online retailer offering direct delivery to the centre.

Centre manager, Gillian Boyle, said, “We’ve recently had a few litters of kittens born at the centre and we need to care for them until they are old enough to find their forever homes.

“We need Royal Canin First Age Mousse Mother and Baby Wet Cat Food, as this helps us wean the kittens from milk on to solid food.

“We also need normal kitten meat of all varieties to feed the older kittens once they have moved on to solid food.

“These kittens are currently too young to be adopted so we are not taking applications or notes of interest at this time.

“We are so thankful for your support so that we can provide these cats with the best start in life possible.

“We’d be so grateful for any donations that people can spare and we know our feline friends will be too.”

Kitten food can be donated via the centre’s Amazon wishlist here: or sent from another online retailer that can deliver. Items can also be left in the donation bins outside the centre at: Bothwell Road, Hamilton, ML3 0SB.
