2021 was our busiest year ever.
Demand for our vital services was higher than in 2019 after being interrupted by COVID-19 restrictions throughout 2020.

We responded to a record number of reports of animals in need, with our inspectors and animal rescue officers rushing to assist an average of over 240 animals every single day.
We rehomed thousands of pets, rehabilitated thousands of wildlife and assisted hundreds of farmers and their farmed animals.
High levels of demand did not stop our critical work to make Scotland a better place for all animals. We achieved significant legislative improvements, with the introduction of the ability for organisations like ours to rehome animals involved in legal proceedings after just three weeks. This game-changing new policy could reduce the average days which dogs, cats and other pets spend in a kennel environment by up to 90%.
We’re committed to transparency and annually publish our full financial accounts, which are available to download.
