Sparkles is a gorgeous large rabbit who has been in society care since the beginning of October.

She was cruelly abandoned in the middle of a large city, which must have really frightened her.

She is very gentle and sweet, but due to her size she would require decent sized accommodation. She also needs some TLC in a loving home.

Rabbits are often adopted as pets for a child but their needs are so many and varied they really need a lot of adult supervision. They also need several vaccines a year; regular ear, nail and teeth check ups with the vet; regular rear-end checks in Summer to ensure they don't get bothered by flies; regular brushing; spacious, clean accommodation which is warm in winter and cool in summer and more over they love the company of other rabbits.

Where possible they should always live in single sex pairs or groups and can only live with the opposite sex if they are neutered, to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

Rabbits need good quality hay and rabbit food, along with fresh fruit and veg to graze on.

They need lots of variety in their lives - to hop around an enclosed garden in Summer and to be given extra warmth and shelter in the Winter.

They are generally friendly creatures, but being ground-dwellers they tend to have a natural fear of being lifted up. That said with lots of gentle handling, they can grow to enjoy it.

She has been health checked and she has also been vaccinated against Myxo.
