Chance is a very loving and happy little dog - who just totally adores people. This is all the more ironic taking into account what he has sadly been through in the past, and now poor Chance must feel as if he is punished all over again - and for one reason only - he is a Staffordshire bull terrier! For 18 long months, Chance has been in Society care looking for his forever home - and yet despite being a wonderful super-friendly and well trained dog, he is always being overlooked for belonging to a breed that so many people have so many misconceptions about.
Chance is a bundle of fun and love rolled into one - he is a really gentle caring dog who would make a great family pet or companion for someone. He would be best suited to a one pet only household as he is not used to being around any four legged companions, and any new owner would need to be vigilant about this.
Staffordshire bull terriers are extremely obedient and affectionate dogs - and are known to have a sense of humour. They are both intelligent and stubborn - quite often at the same time! Sadly however, because of their muscular appearance, and because of negative press they have endured over the years, many people misunderstand this breed completely. Any dog, regardless of the breed, who has not been well socialised or brought up by a responsible owner will have the potential to exhibit negative or worrying behaviour.
Chance should not be punished for what he is, but loved for who he is! A fabulous little dog, who has had his wee suitcase packed for the past 18 months, waiting patiently for someone to take him on a wonderful journey to his loving forever home!
