The Scottish SPCA is desperately seeking a good home for a loving dog who is becoming increasingly stressed in kennels.
Arnie came in to our care four months ago after he was found wandering the streets alone.
The three to five year old rottie crossbreed has won the hearts of the staff who look after him at our Ayrshire and South West Scotland Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre at Mainholm, Ayr. Sadly though, he hasn't attracted any potential new owners and he's now fed up of being stuck in his kennel with no family to call his own.
Assistant Manager Lynda Hourston said, "Arnie is a fantastic big guy who desperately needs a new home as he is finding the noise and confinement of kennel life all too much.
"He is a big, daft, soft bear of a dog who has really good basic commands and walks well on a gentle leader and a harness.
"Arnie is also very friendly and affectionate, loves playing fetch and would like a home where someone can give him the love and attention he deserves.
"When he first came in to our care he was unsure of other dogs but through regular socialisation he has become really comfortable around them and once he's got over his initial excitement of seeing new friends he settles in well.
"We think Arnie's come on so much that he could live with another dog of a similar size pending a successful introduction here at the centre.
"We'd love to find Arnie a new owner who has large breed experience and plenty of time and devotion to give this loveable lad the life that, for now, he can only dream of."
