Ferret wanders into house in Larbert

Frank

The Scottish SPCA is appealing for information after a ferret wandered into a house in Larbert.

We were called by a resident of Falcon Drive when the friendly male let himself into her home on Thursday morning (29 December).

The ferret, who has been named Frank, is now being cared for at our Edinburgh and Lothians Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Balerno.

Animal Rescue Officer Robyn Cooper said, “The lady was very surprised when Frank came through her front door as she had spotted him in her garden earlier but he disappeared.

“As she was leaving her house he turned up on her doorstep and let himself in!

“He’s a very affectionate ferret which suggests he has been someone’s pet.

“It’s likely Frank is a stray but we can’t rule out the possibility he’s been abandoned.

“His fur is quite yellow in parts so he may have been outside for a few days before he was found.

“Hopefully, someone will recognise Frank and come forward.”

Anyone with information about Frank is asked to contact our Animal Helpline on 03000 999 999.
