We would like to thank each and every one of our supporters for their support this year. We say it often because it is true - without our supporters there would be no Scottish SPCA. It really is as simple as that.
So 'thank you' to everyone who has rehomed a rescue pet, called our animal helpline, volunteered, donated or helped spread the word and in any way improved the lives of animals in Scotland. We couldn't do what we do without you.
It is so sad that so many animals desperately need our help but, together, we have been there for them.
Poor Chance (pictured) was our longest serving resident. It seemed no one wanted him. But we never gave up on this beautiful boy and we never put a healthy animal to sleep. Finally, his luck changed and he's now in a wonderful new home, all thanks to our supporters.
With the help of our supporters we were also able to open a new rescue and rehoming centre in Aberdeenshire and we're delighted to say our rehoming team there have been able to find new homes for lots of of animals already.
Jellyfish and Sand also needed your help. The orphaned seal pups formed an amazingly strong bond in our care and were returned to the wild fit and healthy.
It is also thanks to our supporters that the owner of little Suzie was banned from owning dogs for life and two brothers involved in dog fighting were sent to jail.
These are just a few of this year's heart-breaking but at times heart-warming success stories. Chance, Suzie, Jellyfish and Sand were among thousands of animals we were able to rescue and help thanks to our supporters.
If they could, they would say 'thank you' too. We all wish all of our supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year when it arrives.
