Tinned food appeal

SSPCA badge web

The Scottish SPCA is appealing for animal lovers to donate tinned cat and dog food to its Highlands and Islands Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

Staff at our Inverness Centre are being kept busy with a full cattery, caring for felines including Luna and Larry who were found on a layby of the A9 last week.

There are also plenty of dogs filling up the kennels fast and Centre Manager Elaine Floyd is appealing for kind people to donate. She said, "We're going through a lot of food at the moment as we're caring for such a large number of cats and dogs.

"While we do have plenty of dried food, we have a particular need for tinned meat.

"Any help the public can give us will be greatly appreciated and the animals will certainly be very pleased."

Donations can be handed in to the centre at Inshes Holdings daily between 10am and 4pm.
