The Scottish SPCA is seeking the owner of an African grey parrot found flying around a housing scheme in Dundee.
We were called to rescue the bird after a member of the public spotted it in the Fintry area of the city on Saturday 6 August.
The exotic creature, who has been named Fin, is being cared for at our Angus, Fife and Tayside Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre at Petterden.
Assistant Centre Manager Lesley Clark said, "We're surprised no one has been in touch about Fin by now, so hopefully someone will recognise him and give us a call.
"Fin is all grey with a red tail and has quite a large vocabulary.
"There are a couple of unusual phrases he's been saying but we're not going to reveal what they are as these will help anyone who comes forward prove they are Fin's owner.
"He's a friendly bird and we'd really like to return him home."
Anyone missing an African grey parrot is being encouraged to contact our Animal Helpline on 03000 999 999.
