The Scottish SPCA is looking for special owners to rehome two dogs who’ve had a tough start in life.
We're currently caring for an eight month old female English bull terrier, named Tibbles, and a two year old Staffordshire bull terrier cross, named Lily, at our Glasgow Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.
Tibbles and Lily have each had one of their legs removed and are desperately looking for new homes.
Centre Assistant Manager Anna O’Donnell said, “Tibbles was suffering from complete dislocation of the hip and unfortunately had to have one of her legs amputated.
“At the moment she’s getting used to having three legs instead of four but she does enjoy walking so her new owner will need to ensure she is taken on short walks daily.
“We’ve had a lot of interest in Tibbles but as she can only go to a ground level home she is still waiting after almost three months in our care.
“Lily has had a particularly sad start too.
“She has now been in three different homes so really needs somewhere permanent.
“Her leg had to be removed due to an old injury but despite this she is an energetic girl.
“Both Tibbles and Lily are friendly little dogs who really deserve to find their forever homes.
“The staff here will be happy to give any prospective new owners more information about their condition and advise them on the care they will need.”
Anyone interested in rehoming Tibbles or Lily is invited to call our Animal Helpline on 03000 999 999 and ask to be connected to the Glasgow Centre.
