Lanarkshire appeals for blankets

Ferret in blanket

The Scottish SPCA is appealing to the public to donate blankets to their Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

The centre currently has a shortage of blankets for their dog and cat beds.

Centre assistant manager Carol Porter said, "At present, we are looking after 28 cats and 94 dogs and we are desperate for new blankets for the increasing number of animals that are coming into the centre.

"Although the animals have access to indoor accommodation, they like to have something to snuggle into when it is cold outside."

Anyone who wishes to donate a blanket should take it to our Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre at Bothwell Road, Hamilton between 10am and 4pm.
