2011 events - take part!

Abseil

Calling all Scottish SPCA supporters!

Are you looking for a way to get fit in 2011 or even just to have some fun? If so, how about helping Scotland's animals while doing so?

We have some fantastic events this year and we're looking for supporters of all ages, fitness levels and abilities to take part. Here are just a few ideas...

The runners among you may (we said may!!) be interested in the Edinburgh Marathon, the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon, the 10k Bupa Great Edinburgh Run, the Ignis Asset Management Women's 10k or the Great Scottish Run.

Or, if you'd like to get active without quite so much training you could take part in The Big Fun Run or Walk for Scotland, which includes Toddle for Scotland!

Prefer cycling? We've got the Fresh n Lo Pedal for Scotland event, which starts in Glasgow and finishes in Edinburgh.

If these events aren't for you, how about abseiling 165 feet from the Forth Rail Bridge? Find out more here >

The even more daring among you may also be interested in skydiving or whitewater rafting.

We are also looking for fundraisers to take part in Scottish Animal Week in September. We also have information about organising your own event.

Hopefully there's something for everyone to take part in. These events are a wonderful way to support the Scottish SPCA and the animals in our care.

For further information, please contact Sharon Meiklejohn on 03000 999 999 or by email (select Events).

We don't receive any government or lottery funding, which means we rely on public donations to continue rescuing and rehoming abused, abandoned and injured animals in Scotland.

If you aren't able to take part in an event this year and you aren't already a member of the Scottish SPCA, you can help us continue our vital work by joining for as little as £1 a week.
