The Scottish SPCA is seeking a home for an elderly cat whose world was turned upside down when her owner sadly passed away.
Twelve year old Annie arrived into the care of our Glasgow Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre at the beginning of September but has struggled to cope with life in a busy cattery.
Staff at the Cardonald-based centre are now keen to find her a loving home where she can settle down.
Assistant manager of the centre, Anna O’Donnell, said, “When little Annie came here everything was new and frightening to her.
“She would just hide away in her bed whenever anyone came to see her.
“As Annie wasn’t coping well with life in the centre, she is now being fostered by a member of our staff.
“Since being back in a home environment, Annie has really come out of her shell.
“She enjoys curling up in a cosy corner and snoozing the day away but also thrives on attention and has lots of love to give her new owner.
“Poor Annie has had a traumatic time and everything she's ever known has been taken away from her.
“We really hope someone out there will offer her the second chance at happiness she deserves.”
Anyone interested in offering Annie a home can call our Animal Helpline on 03000 999 999 and ask to be connected to the Glasgow centre.
