Please don't be daunted by the thought of planning your own fundraising event for the Scottish SPCA - we are here to help with practical advice and support!

Step 1: Choose an activity

Choose an activity you feel comfortable with. Here are just a few ideas: coffee morning, quiz night, treasure hunt, karaoke competition, sponsored walk, book sale. You'll find lots more in our fundraising pack.

Step 2: Register

Let us know your plans and we'll send you a fundraising pack, which can also be downloaded, while we can also provide leaflets, collection boxes, tshirts and lots more.

Step 3: Organise your event

Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to plan your event and when possible ask friends and family to help. If required, make sure you also have permission. For example, dog walks in public parks require permission from your local council, while supermarket collections must be approved by the manager.

You can also set up a Just Giving page here. It's an easy way for people to sponsor your event - and make sure they Gift Aid their donations!

Step 4: Enjoy your event

Fundraising should be fun and rewarding! It should also give you confidence to organise future events.

Step 5: Send in your sponsor money

Once you have collected your sponsor money, you can send a cheque made payable to the Scottish SPCA, addressed to: Scottish SPCA Fundraising, Kingseat Road, Halbeath, Dunfermline, Fife KY11 8RY. If sending a cheque is not possible, telephone 03000 999 999.
