The Scottish SPCA actively campaigns for improved animal welfare standards. We play a major role in shaping government policy and raising pubic awareness of animal welfare issues by working with the media, other organisations and our own members.

  • Fur trade

    Legislation has now been passed by the European Parliament which will make it illegal to import or export products containing dog or cat fur in the EU by December 2008. More

    The Scottish SPCA has written to every MSP, Scottish MP, council leader, chief constable and chief fire officer calling for a radical change to current fireworks laws. More

    The Scottish SPCA believes that snaring is cruel, indiscriminate and unnecessary. We also believe that the only way to stop animals from suffering in snares is a total ban. More
