Legacy Giving
Everyone needs to consider making a Will. For the sake of your family and for your own peace of mind you should ensure that you control what happens to your property, possessions and pets after your death.
If you should die without making a Will, your estate may not pass to those you have loved and cared for throughout your lifetime in exactly the way you want.
Legacies, large and small, form a vital element of Scottish SPCA funding, allowing us to plan for the future with confidence. As there is no inheritance tax payable on legacies to charity, it is a tax effective way of giving.
Forever Care
Have you thought about who will look after your pet should they outlive you? It’s a difficult question, and whilst sometimes a friend or relative will be able to care for a much-loved pet, this is not always possible.
Forever Care, a service run by the Scottish SPCA, can look after your pet and find them a new and loving home, but to ensure your wishes are carried out it is important to make a Will.
Making or amending a Will is easier than you may think. For more information contact our legacies department > or telephone 03000 999 999.
